CYRA RECORDED HER DEBUT SOLO ALBUM AT THE AGE OF 17
Cyra recorded her debut solo album at the age of 17 and soon after toured Europe-wide with her first rock band, Pieces. Following on from this success, she started working with her second band Shell and the Ocean, signed by EMI.
Their debut album "Turn Blue” paved the way for a tour with the Bee Gees performing in sold out venues and stadiums in Germany, including Waldbühne, Berlin. Due to popular demand from her international fan base, "Turn Blue" was digitally re-released worldwide by EMI, now under Universal Music, in 2011.
Throughout her career Cyra has drawn inspiration from collaborating with a range of musicians - increasing her diversity also by performing and studying in the USA with a focus on percussion.

Her passion for words and sounds that open hearts and traverse boundaries was awoken as a child. It unfolded as she grew up listening to a variety of musical styles, ranging from Italian opera to pop music, all of them influencing the rich, diverse sound she now calls her own. Fusing elements of pop and classical music, Cyra's latest musical offering draws on her wealth of experience as artist and performer.
BORN IN FRANKFURT MAIN, SHE PERFORMED TO MUSIC AT A YOUNG AGE AS A BALLET DANCER AND A TOP-RANKED FIGURE SKATER. IN HER EARLY TEENS CYRA STARTED STUDYING THE PIANO AND LATER ON, AT UNIVERSITY, SHE WAS TRAINED FOR SEVERAL YEARS AS A CLASSICAL VOCALIST BASED ON THE FUNCTIONAL METHOD, NEW YORK.
Imagine a huge bay with a city placed right next to it and small beautiful islands with colorful cabins on top spread close to the diverse coast. Imagine me sitting on one of those islands on top of a rock near the water gazing at the other islands and the blue sunny sky. All of a sudden birds are flying over my head, a duck with her little chicks are swimming peacefully underneath my feet and a little beetle approaching and remaining next to me. I feel happy and free enjoying this incredible nature and the breathtaking ocean view. As I am relaxing I am getting inspired by a new melody and words “flowing” through my mind: I’m so LOST WITHOUT YOU! As a singer–songwriter I feel an unusual creative download, a whole new song, and I start singing it out loud with a natural open air audience. The city I am talking about is Oslo situated at the outstanding Norwegian coast where I lived for almost five years. I came to know very talented artists and had the privilege to work with many musicians across the country. It was the time when I wrote so many songs like never before since I have started writing my first songs as a young teenager who dreamed of a career as a singer and musician. The lyrics I have developed later on expressed my feelings for a very handsome guy I had met in beloved Norway but sadly, we never came together. Soon my life took a different turn as I moved to Berlin, and so I have devoted this love song to someone that became the center of my new life.
